GITA PAAT

When possible, Gita Paats are held in order to review the Hindu Gita as a community and come together in unity to honor the idols of the Hindu Religion, converse about the rules and regulations within the Hindu religion, and foresee morals and values that Hindus hold as one. At these Gita Paats, a priest preeches to all Devotees about the Gita scriptures to inform and remind individuals about the religious duties. Prayers are held, prasad is served, songs are sung, and the community consolidates in good fortune.

SARASWATI PUJA

In the beginning of every year, Saraswati Pujas are held according to their accurate date in the Hindu Calendar. These pujas honor Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning. Usually, the morning of the Saraswati Puja involves the praying and honoring of God, while the evening involves the celebration of God through performances (Sanskritik Onustan). Prayers are held, prasad is served, songs are sung, dances are performed, poems are read, acts are created and the community consolidates in good fortune.

KRISHNA JANMASTAMI

Krishna Janmastami is held towards the middle of the year, usually in August, according to their accurate date in the Hindu Calendar. These pujas honor Krishna, the God of benevolence, kindness, and compassion. Usually, the morning of the Krishna Janmastami involves the praying and honoring of God, while the evening involves the celebration of God through performances (Sanskritik Onustan). Prayers are held, prasad is served, songs are sung, dances are performed, poems are read, acts are created and the community consolidates in good fortune.

DURGA PUJA

Towards the end of the year, the Durga Puja is held, according to their accurate date in the Hindu Calendar. These pujas honor Durga, the Goddess of power, destruction, and protection. Usually, the morning of the Durga Puja involves the praying and honoring of God, while the evening involves the celebration of God through performances (Sanskritik Onustan). Though the Durga Puja is held through a span of five to ten days, our organization does our best to celebrate it graciously throughout the term of one weekend. Prayers are held, prasad is served, songs are sung, dances are performed, poems are read, acts are created and the community consolidates in good fortune.

KALI PUJA

After the Durga Puja is held, the Kali Puja is also held according to their accurate date in the Hindu Calendar. These pujas honor Kali, the Goddess of the expression of destruction and benevolence in nature. The Kali Puja is held at night in order to honor Goddess Kali and offer prayers to her. Prayers are held and prasad is served during this Puja as well.
